In the age of AI and electrification, the Robot stool stands out as the new hero of the Pols Potten collection. Hand-carved from solid wood by artisans in the brand's Senegalese workshop, every piece is unique: chisel marks and growth rings each give it its own character. Visual artist Hans van Bentem has worked with these craftsmen and their traditional techniques since 2000, translating a monumental design language into something tangible and cherished. Its compact silhouette (L 30 × D 40 × H 47 cm, around 28 kg) makes it an ideal extra seat, step stool or decorative stand, suited to both indoor and sheltered outdoor use. Once you embrace the Robot, it won't let you go.
