The Coral 50-tulips vase by Pols Potten revives the seventeenth-century Dutch tulip vase, from the days when tulip bulbs could cost as much as a house. Designed by Norman Trapman, it sets fifty small necks over a rounded base: every flower gets its place and stands upright, for a graphic arrangement no ordinary vase can hold. The porcelain carries a glossy glaze offered in three finishes, white, silver and gold, to suit any setting. Its scale makes it a focal point on a dining table, an entrance console or a mantelpiece. Fill it with fresh blooms, branches or dried stems as the seasons turn. Clean with warm soapy water and no abrasives to keep the glaze bright. Dimensions: 40 cm diameter, 60 cm high.
