Transporting humans into space posed many challenges, including the preservation of perishable food. How the Airocide process works ?

By photocatalytic bioconversion

This is the conversion of organic matter (plant, animal or bacterial) into harmless by-products via a biological process of successive oxidations. In other words, organic matter is converted to water vapor without releasing any harmful by-products.

To be effective, this photocatalytic bioconversion process requires an unalterable photocatalyst support with ultra-high reactivity to ensure permanent hydroxyl radical production numbering in the billions per nanosecond.
