After working for the Bouroullec brothers, Constance Guisset founded her own eponymous studio in 2009. The following year, she created the Vertigo suspension, a luminaire edited by Petite Friture. This beautiful illuminating saucer quickly became a global success. "When you look at it, you're elsewhere, as if weightless. In my work, I always try to create an escape from reality."
Available in several colors, the Vertigo illuminates interiors in an airy, sublime way, hovering above tables and twirling like the sun. "When you look at it, you're elsewhere, as if weightless. In my work, I always try to create an escape from reality," says Constance Guisset.

In 2011, designer Constance Guisset renewed her collaboration with Petite Friture. For this comeback, she imagined the "Francis" collection, including a mirror unfolding illusions of oceans and bluish smoke, captured in a superb silkscreened watercolor. The Francis coffee table, on the other hand, features reflections reminiscent of a hazy sky, giving it the appearance of a striking piece of ice.

In 2020, Constance Guisset renewed her partnership with Petite Friture to reinvent her most iconic creation. "Vertigo Nova" represents an evolution of the original Vertigo lamp, a cabin-shaped luminaire unfolding its enveloping structure to create a space of intimacy. Like the beating wings of birds, these luminaires combine poetry and aesthetics harmoniously.

Constance Guisset and her Ankara table collection for Matière Grise

For the Matière Grise house, Constance Guisset designed the Ankara table collection in 2014. Adorned with an exquisite contemporary style, the skirts with multiple facets on these tables create a hypnotic movement. According to her approach: 'What is always very present in my work is the spring of illusion, that moment when you are about to tip into a dream, between ecstasy and kidnapping.'
